- A day of apple picking, picture taking, hiking and pie making with the mister.

- A really fun Halloween party.
- A date with my groom at Cuban Revolution followed by a double feature!
- Beginning the process of packing up my office in preparation for the move next weekend.
- This mushroom risotto recipe.
- A great photo shoot at home with Erika for Bob's new headshot, followed by some quality time with her and an appearance by Julie!
I had a great week! Lots of stuff was accomplished at work, and I still managed to have a ton of fun. Both of those things don't happen simultaneously very often, so I'm appreciating the heck out of it.
The week began with a fun day out with Bob at Sweet Berry Farm, picking apples and taking pictures. They had a ton of apples left to pick, so we ended up making a couple of pies that night. After apple picking, we headed to Norman Bird Sanctuary for a short hike. This place has some meaning for us because it's where we went on our first hike together. We got some great pictures there too!
Oh! And Bob surprised me with tickets to see Ray Lamontagne! I tell ya, I did something right somewhere along the way.
The end of the work week consisted of a lot of work leaving my desk, and the beginning stages of packing up for our move next weekend. We're moving to a beautiful new office space and we're all very excited. It's going to be a long weekend, but worth it.
Friday night, we went to the annual Halloween party of our friends', Josh and Kristine. I was looking forward to spending some time with Connie and Carolyn, and I'm so happy that I got to. :) It is required that guests dress up for this party, and dress up we did. I was Khloe Kardashian (that's me on the left), and Bob was my paparazzi! The best costume by far was our friends Derek and Lisa, who dressed as solar panels and a wind turbine. So creative, and hilarious.
Saturday, Bob and I had a date at the Cuban Revolution, followed by a double feature! We saw "Law Abiding Citizen" and "Zombieland". Both very different, very good movies. I was pleasantly surprised by both.
Today (Sunday), we went out to breakfast, then spent a few hours cleaning the house. Erika came over for lunch, then proceeded to spend HOURS with Bob on his new headshot. He has a goatee in his other one and it was time for something new. We had seen Erika's work and were really impressed, and she did not disappoint. I think she got some really great shots of Bob :)
Julie arrived at the tail end of the photo shoot, when Erika was taking shots of Gruxy (can't wait to see those!!) and we had a nice visit with the both of them. We subjected both of them to the wedding video, and they said they didn't mind... heh.
Days like this, I really just feel so fortunate. Life is what you make of it.
