Sahale Snacks - Review and Giveaway!

First of all, I'm crazy about the story behind Sahale Snacks. Josh and Edmond are from Seattle and came up with the idea after climbing Mount Rainier and being less than impressed with the options for trail mixes that taste delicious and are great fuel at the same time.

I happen to love Seattle. The Mister and I spent a week in Washington in 2006 and had an unforgettable time. You can be in the city one day eating sushi and visiting awesome museums, and the next day you can be swimming in the Columbia River and watching a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater. This is me and Mount Rainier back in 2006.

No climbing for us, just picture taking! Maybe some day...

On to the snacks. Anja sent me one of each of their Nut Blends, Glazed Nuts and Seasoned Nuts to try. In the box:

In 2009, the Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla was awarded an annual "best snack" honor by Shape magazine. I totally get why - I could eat these all day. But to be fair, you can't really combine three of my favorite things and expect that I won't move in with you.

I used all three on salads. What can I say? I like a spiced or glazed nut on my salads. One salad combo that stands out was one I made last week when my brother and his lady were visiting: spinach with strawberries, feta, POM salad dressing, and Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla. I know!

Ingredients and nutrition:

Hmmm... three bags of Sahale Snacks? While the possibilities are endless, here are three ways I would eat them.
The first bag I would eat while touring Yellowstone National Park over the July 4th weekend. Nothing better than a great snack while hiking and touring a great National Park!
The second bag I would share with friends at our monthly game night pary! We are always trying to top each other with the best snack and I think the Sahale Snacks would seal the deal!
The final bag I would save for my camping trip to Taylor Reservoir at the end of July. They would be the perfect snack to take fishing and hiking with friends. Yummm, I can taste it now...

I'm with you I think these would be WONDERFUL in a salad! I would probably also try the Cashews in my oatmeal for breakfast, oh I know the cashews would be yummo sprinkled on oatmeal pancakes!
Thanks so much for a chance=)
